A farmhouse in Delta, with Mount Baker in the distance.
According to Delta's Rural Heritage, by Donald Luxton and
Associates, this is the Asbury/Erskine house. It is at 4769 112th Street
in Delta, and was built about 1907. There is also a fine barn, the
subject of another watercolour that will be posted here soon. It was
built for William Asbury Sr., who had emigrated from Cheshire in 1887
and died soon after this house's completion. It is just down the road
from the historically very significant home of Premier John Oliver,
called "Bayside," at 4844.
