The James Dun Waters house, Fintry, is well preserved as a centrepiece of the Fintry provincial park. I'll post some historical material on Waters and the estate soon.

What I found most intriguing was this dilapidated old packing plant on the lake there, sketched in 2003. I remember Fintry as an abandoned wharf and cluster of old farm buildings in the late 1960s, when I was working for BC Hydro as a meter reader and the West Side Road was a pretty rough track through to Vernon. I think this is the last packing plant on the lake, whereas there used to be plants dotted along the west side of the lake at Summerland, Peachland and Westbank.

Can anyone add some historical information, or clarify these buildings' futures.
